Nicole Hill was appointed to the Tumwater City Council in 2012 and elected to a short-term in 2013; she was elected to a full term in 2015. Nicole was appointed to the LOTT Board of Directors in 2016 and reappointed in 2017.
Nicole has worked in the public and private sector for more than 15 years assisting communities with identifying, prioritizing, and conserving natural areas, parks, trails, forests, and open spaces. She is originally from the Midwest, and has lived in Tumwater since 2009. Nicole earned her BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from Ball State University. She completed graduate work in City and Regional Planning at Clemson University. As a City Councilmember, she chairs both the Public Works Committee and Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and serves on the Budget and Finance Committee. Nicole also serves on the Joint Animal Services Commission (JASCOM) and Thurston Thrives.
