Recognizing staff dedication and outstanding operational performance
The LOTT Alliance has received national, state, and local awards recognizing the environmental protection commitment and hard work of our dedicated Board of Directors, exceptional management, experienced staff, and the participation of our partner jurisdictions. Here are some of the awards and achievements we have received over the past few years.
LOTT and Parametrix received the American Council of Engineering Companies’ 2017 Engineering Excellence award for the Switchgear Replacement Project completed in December, 2016. The award highlights the critical importance of the project, which provides uninterrupted power to the Budd Inlet Treatment Plant. The award also recognizes successful project delivery – the project was completed on time and under budget.
Utility of the Future Today
LOTT was one of only 61 utilities in the U.S. and Canada to receive this new award in 2016. The award recognizes utilities that embrace smart, sustainable, value-added service.
LOTT received an Outstanding Performance Award for 2015 operations at the Martin Way Reclaimed Water Plan. This award is the highest form of recognition for wastewater treatment plant performance granted by the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Excellence in Financial Reporting
LOTT has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada each year since 2007. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition for excellence in state and local government financial reporting.
WellCity Award of Commitment
LOTT has received the WellCity Award from the Association of Washington Cities each year since 2011. The WellCity Award recognizes LOTT's commitment to workplace wellness and to creating a culture of health, resulting in healthier, more productive employees.
Thurston Green Business Award
Since 2008, LOTT has received the Thurston Green Business award annually. This award recognizes local businesses for their environmentally friendly efforts in the areas of green building, waste reduction and recycling, water conservation, energy efficiency, transportation, pollution prevention, and buying and selling green products.
